The Pregnancy Care Centre is proud to offer WAIT! Let's Talk Sex! Programs to all Edmonton area schools.

WAIT! Let's Talk Sex! is a series of educational workshops for grades 7, 8, 9, and CALM 20. Each presentation is grade specific, age appropriate, and character-based, with sexual abstinence being presented as a healthy choice for teens. Our presenters are well trained, well informed, and dynamic!

Our content is consistent with the Alberta Learning Curriculum and information is presented in a fun and interactive way.

Our objectives are:

• To clearly define abstinence as a healthy choice.
• To introduce practical ways to be abstinent in a sex-saturated society.
• To challenge students to protect their future hopes, dreams, and relationships.
• To discuss physical and emotional benefits of boundaries in dating relationships.
• To identify positive qualities that contribute to healthy relationships.
• To clearly define sexual activity and associated risks.
• To explore issues and options surrounding teen pregnancy.
• To inform students about the realities of sexually transmitted infections.
